Calignous - Where the world lies in Shadow...

"Where the world lies in shadow..."

Awakening in a hospital after a terrifying accident, Julie is introduced to a man she doesn't remember... Her husband...

From the moment she awoke, Julie was completely terrified. Something about her husband's demeanor seemed so forced. The love he promised they shared felt empty and cold. Then, in the blink of an eye, her entire world was flipped upside down.

Now Julie is on the run, fleeing from the man who promised to love her. A terrifying mystery was about to begin as she discovered her husband was not the man he claimed to be. There was actually a far more sinister story beginning to emerge. Julie was plagued by visions of a past that she knew nothing about. It conflicted with everything she'd been told. It was all leading to one horrific conclusion. Everyone had lied to her... This life was not hers...

When your entire world is made up of nothing but lies and deceit, who can you trust? Who can you believe?

Our Newest Video Features:
The Incredible Hulk - The original pilot episode was a one in a million television premiere that brought Bill Bixbie and Lou Ferrigno into the homes of millions of viewers overnight. If you've never seen how David Banner became the Incredible Hulk, here's your chance! Or, if you've seen it before, now's your chance to watch it all over again!

Dark Shadows (1991)

Starring Ben Cross and Joanna Going, Dark Shadows was a television series filled with all the romantic suspense and passion you could hope to see on-air. It is the newest video drama to be offered here on The Quiet Corner - one that captured the hearts of fans around the world who still revere it so much to this day.

The show had an excellent production team and cast of actors unlike any other television show of its kind. Michael T. Weiss (ex-Mike Days), Barbara Steele (touted as the ultimate Italian scream queen), and the incredibly recognizable Jim Fyfe are just a few of the gifted actors who graced the halls of Collinwood manor.

This was a show that set an intense stage early on in the game, yet the plot itself was built slowly over it's one and only season on air. It was a typical story of a vampirism in some ways - featuring a man tortured and cursed by what he's become. But, as the season progressed, several plot twists began to turn this tale into a story unlike any other.

The greatest disappointment for the fans came when the network decided not to renew it for the next season. Still, these twelve episodes remain alive and well online - to love and cherish all over again. Enjoy them while they last!

Kitchen Nightmares

Starring Chef Gordon Ramsay, Kitchen Nightmares is a show that you swear you're never going to watch, but once you catch just a few minutes... Suddenly it becomes part of your weekly must-see-tv!

As with Simon Cowell of American Idol, Chef Ramsay is a man you either love or completely hate. Either you understand his brilliance or you don't. Whatever your personal feelings for him though, you have to respect the fact that he has nerves of steel, always willing to get in a man's face to state his honest opinions out loud. Often what pops out of his mouth is an illicit string of curses that leads to an intense battle of words with whomever he happens to be speaking to.

The premise of this show seems so simple on the outset. Gordon steps foot into a failing restaurant, making an effort to try and help the owner understand why their business is sinking so horribly. Most of the time the answers are painfully clear right off the bat, although Gordon never stops at the easy answers. He prods and digs his way into the kitchen behind the scene, often finding things that would leave you reeling in disgust to know you might have ever been a customer there.

By the end of the show, it's often not just a question of whether a restaurant 'can' be saved, but more importantly, does it even deserve to be saved...

Those adorable troublesome tribbles

The Story of Jack Deveraux and Jennifer Horton

Jack & Jennifer on Cruise of DeceptionIf there was one thing millions of viewers were driven to see during late 80's and early 90's it was the love story of Jack and Jennifer on Days of Our Lives. Their romance was the daily talk in the lunch room at work--a tale deeply entwined with love, romance and laughter--and it was vastly impossible to resist once a viewer began watching.

Jack Deveraux was the epitome of evil long before Jennifer Horton walked into his life. One tragedy after another assaulted his life, driving him to become one of the most despised villains on the entire show. Then something remarkable happened that would change his entire world forever. Jennifer walked into his life and finally gave him the one thing he really needed in life. Jennifer gave him a purpose--a reason to become a better man, for himself as much as for her.

As blind to the world of humanity as Jack was before he met Jennifer, over time she became the only thing he could really seem to see. Jennifer's sincere naiveté both intrigued and mystified him as they began working together at The Spectator. Ironically as Jack thought he was helping Jennifer grow and mature, in many ways he was the one who was finally beginning grow and mature.

It was a story that so shocked the audience for it's controversy that the creators almost never paired them together at all. Jack Deveraux was a man with a hideous background, while Jennifer Horton was as innocent as a rosebud barely beginning to flower. Somewhere along the lines, someone gave these two characters a chance to develop a romance and somewhere along the way, the story and their romance made history on the show.

The Story of Mason & Julia

Mason & Julia Capwell The romantic escapades of Mason Capwell and Julia Wainwright were one of the greatest highlights on the soap opera Santa Barbara during the mid-80's. Their incredibly amazing and unique love story played out in such an unusual way that at first you almost didn't even see it coming.

There was absolutely nothing commonplace about their relationship that built with such slow intensity that by the time they finally got together you couldn't help feeling your own heart beating heavily in response. The two characters were alike in so many ways, yet they were certainly worlds apart emotionally. What helped worm their story into the hearts of millions of viewers was not just the passion or the drama, their story possessed an off-balance sense of humor that very few other couples have been able to duplicate.

Brought to you by the generous clippers who took the time to preserve and post these videos, the love story of Mason & Julia has been brought back to life in a brilliantly dramatic way. If you never saw this powerful story when it aired on television, sit back and prepare yourself for a special treat.
